Quarter Planning Meeting & Discussion of the SecLab Retreat

Retreat - Karl raised the question of where and when to hold the SecLab Retreat this Quarter. Amongst the suggestions were Powder Dunes Retreat, Monterey (Karl) and Hawaii (Todd). Much discussion followed including a suggestion (Todd) that the Retreat be tied to an INTEL Tour. The feeling of the group was that they did not want to hold the Retreat in the Silicon Valley area where INTEL is located. Another suggestion was to tie the Retreat to a Conference being held by some of our contractors (name of Conference/ Correlation thingy?) and invite them to attend a seminar held during the Retreat or tie the Retreat in with a conference being held by Hackers). The discussion ended when Karl asked Penny to find out about the rates & availability of accommodations at the Powder Dunes Retreat for two days/two nights during the week of July 17-21.

Other Issues

There are not any rooms available in EU II for the SecLab Seminar for the remained of the Spring Quarter. Penny will try to get Room 135 in Everson Hall or something in SURGE IV and let everyone know by email.

Karl asked Penny to a) see David Klotz about getting Kwan-Sung and (one or two other "new" members (find out the "new" members names from Karl) on the alias list) b) to do a background check on the message Todd sent to the group by email regarding the Hawaii "Hackers" Conference c) to see Karl about "early June".

Karl also asked Steve (which Steve?) to send papers on ??? to ???.

The meeting adjourned at 2 pm
