Or, University of California, Davis, Kemper Hall, Room 1065. AirportsDavis is about 20 minutes from Sacramento International Airport (SMF), about 75-90 minutes from Oakland International Airport (OAK), and about 90-120 minutes from San Francisco International Airport (SFO). If you own or timeshare a private plane, you can fly to the University Airport (EDU), as University of California, Davis is the only UC with its own airport. WeatherWeather info is available here. Davis is often in the 40s during the day and 30s during the night, in January, and we do get rain. It hasn't snowed in Davis since 2002. AccomodationsWe have block reservations at two local hotels. Please call the Best Western Palm Court (530-753-7100) or the Aggie Inn (530-756-0352) directly and ask for the "GENI Security Workshop group rate" at either place. The Best Western Palm Court rates from $119-$149/night depending on room. Our Aggie Inn rates range from $89-$115 night. Our room blocks have been released, but you're still able to receive the conference rate by calling the group reservations coordinator directly. If you have not yet reserved a room, please call Darshana Nagar at 530-756-0910 x137 and ask about the "UC Davis rate for the GENI Workshop." If the two hotels mentioned above are booked, you might be in one of the other properties managed by this hotel group, but that's OK; they're all fairly close by. TransportationThere are four ways to get to Davis from Sacramento Airport: car, shuttle, taxi, city bus, or private plane. If you are coming from the Bay Area, you might also consider the Amtrak Capitol Corridor route. Any are fine options.
